Copper gasket for six-cylinder bike

February 24, 2020

A customer sent us an old six-cylinder motorcycle gasket of unknown make (shown on top) and we were able to make a copper gasket replacement (shown below).

We can supply any solid copper gasket in thicknesses from 0.2mm on up. We can work from scale drawings (dxf or pdf), old gaskets, or templates.

Stainless steel fine mesh/Brass filter

November 17, 2013

A customer asked us to reproduce this fuel filter (center in image below)  for an old motorcycle. We used a very fine stainless steel mesh identical to the original mesh in a brass enclosure just like the original. The little tab is used to install and remove the filter. Order quantity was 300 pieces.

Moto Guzzi Falcone Copper Crush Rings

July 29, 2010

The Moto Guzzi Falcone was an unusual Italian single cylinder motorcycle that had a long life span and several different iterations.

A customer contacted Gaskets-to-Go about making some somewhat unusual copper crush washers. Unusual because the spec called for a thin copper ring to be inserted inside the gasket material sandwich, so in effect there are three copper layers and two filler layers. The arrow in the close-up image below shows one of the inner copper layers. If you are in need of these gaskets for a Falcone let me know and I will put you in touch with the customer.

1943 BMW R-75

April 25, 2010

I imagine that this customer came to me because BMW understandably no longer carries spare parts for this model. He sent me ID and OD figures for a copper crush washer to be used on the exhaust and after seeing the quotation placed an order for four of them. I will insert an image of one of these magnificent machines, copied by the Russians and the Chinese, and I believe still manufactured in China.

Honda GX500 Head Gaskets

December 18, 2009

Not sure if this is the right picture, but the customer asked for a quotation based on a gasket image he sent me and said it was for a GX500. All we usually need to supply a quotation is an image along with L x W dimensions, thickness, and quantity required.

He liked the quotation so he sent me a couple of the old gaskets that were in nice shape. We duplicated those using a non-asbestos material from Interface Solutions. The original is on the left, and our copies are on the right.

If have one of these bikes and need a head gasket please contact me via http://www.gasketstogo.com and I will put you in touch with this customer.

Matchless Silver Hawk

December 18, 2009

We get some interesting requests here at Gaskets-to-Go, and recently we had one for a very rare motorcycle, an early 1930s Matchless Silver Hawk with a V4 engine!

The customer sent a scanned gasket to obtain a quotation, and then sent a paper pattern when he placed an order. We could have worked from the scan, but a template or old gasket is nice to have.

Here is one of the finished gaskets. These are copper sandwich construction, with an inner layer of non-asbestos steel-reinforced composite material from Interface Solutions.

If anyone is in need of a gasket or two for a Silver Hawk please contact me through http://www.gasketstogo.com and I will put you in touch with the customer who is selling these.
